بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا

وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا
3
وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا
4
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا
5
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَى لَهَا
6
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ
7
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ
8
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ

Quand la terre tremblera d’un violent tremblement,

et que la terre fera sortir ses fardeaux,

et que l’homme dira : « Qu’a-t-elle ? »

ce jour-là, elle contera son histoire,

selon ce que ton Seigneur lui aura révélé [ordonné].

Ce jour-là, les gens sortiront séparément pour que leur soient montrées leurs œuvres.
7
Quiconque fait un bien fût-ce du poids d’un atome, le verra,

et quiconque fait un mal fût-ce du poids d’un atome, le verra.

    Note [original edition] : miṯqâl « poids », dans la langue coranique, ne semble pas avoir d’autre sens ǁ ḏarra « atome ». Text. : « fourmi ». On remarquera combien souvent, dans le Coran, l’idée d’une appréciation des actes est rendue par la notion de pesée. Il n’est cependant pas sûr, comme le dit Goldziher, Islamisme et Parsisme, 11, qu’on ait là un emprunt à l’Iran, car la Bible offre aussi des exemples nombreux d’une conception analogue.

        IV.  Enarrabit nuncia sua. ] Idest exponet homini interroganti causas commotionis suæ.
        V.  Revelabit hęc illi. ] Idest movebit eam ad illa manifestanda.
        VII.  Videbit illud. ] Gelal : ير ثوابه وعذابه  : Videbit, seu recipiet pręmium, vel pęnam illius.

                «إذا زُلزلت الأرض» حركت لقيام الساعة «زلزالها» تحريكها الشديد المناسب لعظمتها.

                «وأخرجت الأرض أثقالها» كنوزها وموتاها فألقتها على ظهرها.
                3
                «وقال الإنسان» الكافر بالبعث «مالها» إنكارا لتلك الحالة.
                4
                «يومئذ» بدل من إذا وجوابها «تُحدث أخبارها» تخبر بما عمل عليها من خير وشر.
                5
                (بأن) بسبب أن (ربك أوحى لها) أي أمرها بذلك، وفي الحديث "" تشهد على كل عبد أو أمة بكل ما عمل على ظهرها "".

                «يومئذ يصدر الناس» ينصرفون من موقف الحساب «أشتاتا» متفرقين فآخذ ذات اليمين إلى الجنة وآخذ ذات الشمال إلى النار «ليروا أعمالهم» أي جزاءها من الجنة أو النار.

                «فمن يعمل مثقال ذرة» زنة نملة صغيرة «خيرا يره» ير ثوابه.
                8
                «ومن يعمل مثقال ذرة شرا يره» ير جزاءه.
